Golf course

Golf Courses

The Prestatyn area has many golf courses.  The Prestatyn Championship Golf Course is located next to Barkby Beach and the Gronant Dunes Local Nature Reserve.  This course is for all standards of player, the course is mostly flat, and has a par of 72.

St Melyd Golf Course is located off Meliden Road, about half a mile from Prestatyn Town Centre.  This is a 9-Hole parkland course which has a par of 68.

Gronant Dunes

Gronant Dunes are an areasand dunes and foreshore located between Prestatyn and Gronant.  This area has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).  This area is an attractive unspoilt length of coastline which still serves as a natural sea defence.

Family Fun at Penrhyn Castle

March 27 to October 31, every day except Tuesday

Penrhyn Castle

Penrhyn Castle was built in the early 19th century for the prosperous Pennant family and is now a National Trust property. The 45 acres of grounds, with paths accessible to wheelchair users, have views over the Menai Strait and Snowdonia beyond. Spring and summer is the best time to see the natural beauty of the surrounding areas of the castle. There are also various events for the family throughout the season.
